I was going to say thanks, but I've hit a wall. It's kind of annoying having to register and sign into your forum before accessing the registry file.
I use the default option but I was wondering if I could still get help, when I open a picture it will automatically scroll through the rest of the pictures in the file without any input, how would I go about fixing this?

nice video. your setup is much different than mine but whatever……my problem is that my default photo app is the one that windows 10 came after a windows 7 upgrade so I changed it to windows photo viewer and thought life was good. it wasn't. After a period of time or opening a certain amount of photos it reverts back to the windows 10 photo viewer and I have to start all over again and change the default app. I've gone through many videos on how to fix it permanently but can't find anything. Goal-I want to change my photo viewer to windows photo viewer-permanently. How do I do that?

Why does everyone presume that you've upgraded to windows 10? I have a new computer with Windows 10. I haven't upgraded therefore Windows Photo Viewer IS NOT THERE!!! I want it to be but it isn't. I think anyone would know to go into control panel, default programmes etc etc. I have tried it all but IT….IS….NOT….THERE.

What does this Window Photo Viewer do that this other one doesn't do? Do I need it? And why is this missing? And why is this so complicated? Why do I keep having to watch videos to get this computer to work properly?
With the 1709 build (Creators update), it's even easier than that, I found. Just go to the 'default apps' in settings and select "windows photo viewer" …I find this much better for my needs as you can scoll in and enlarge the picture easily and snapshot it and resave the new pic a lot easier. Overthinking is not smart, sometimes. I am real sorry about your Buddy Buster…That is real sad… Those laws are out in the States as well. Thank God in Texas, they are having a hard time implementing that BS!
